Up and down.....Up and down....over and over again. Over the last two weeks, I thought I had a seller for the business, then one day I didn't. I had one chiropractor tell me he didn't want to pay for my business; he just wanted to give my patients the best chiropractic in town! What an idiot! I do want my patients to get the best chiropractic, but I'd rather not have to claim bankruptcy to make it happen; and besides that, he's at most a mediocre chiropractor! So, back to the start again.
I had a great meeting today with bank of Colorado, who holds part of my practice loan. The line from Tom Prenger, the head loan officer for Colorado, was, "We are not in the business of loan forgiveness at Bank of Colorado. But, we also know that you are in a very unique situation and I am very thankful for what you are doing for our country. If you cannot find someone to buy your practice, we will sell your equipment and write off the rest of the loan." That was an "up"! Stunning actually and more than I could ever hope or dream. What a relief!
On the family note, my wife said that she wanted to live with her parents in Washington while I'm gone. So we will be leaving for Washington on June 19th. This will be my last day in the office. I have to report for Army training on July 10th, so that will give us time to spend together while we move and get them settled. This is another "up" even though I am disappointed leaving the office. Up and down. Two more weeks of the roller coaster!
